1. Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address and password (stored in hashed form) when you register, or your name, email and profile picture when you sign in with Google.
• Content you create — tests, questions, answers, instructions, images you attach to questions, and your profile details (bio, avatar).
• Activity data — tests you attempt, your answers, scores, time taken, ratings you give, points and levels, and notifications generated for you.
• Payment information — when you buy a test or add money to your wallet, the payment is processed by our payment partners (Razorpay, PhonePe and/or Stripe). We receive transaction confirmations, amounts and identifiers — we never see or store your full card number, UPI PIN or banking passwords.
• Uploaded exam papers (AI scan) — if you use the "Scan paper" feature, the photos or PDF pages you upload are sent to our AI processing provider solely to extract the questions, and the extracted questions are returned to you for editing. We do not use your uploaded papers for anything else.
• Technical data — basic logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security, debugging and preventing abuse.

2. How we use your information

• To operate the platform: run exams, calculate scores, show leaderboards, deliver purchased content.
• To process payments, credit wallets, pay out creator earnings, and keep financial records as required by law.
• To send you in-app notifications about your tests, purchases, replies from support and account activity.
• To keep exams fair (for example, exam lockdown features that detect tab switching during a test).
• To respond when you contact support and to resolve payment or account problems.
• To secure the platform, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

3. What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
• We do not show third-party advertising based on your personal data.
• We do not read your test content for any purpose other than operating the platform (e.g. moderation of reported content).

4. Sharing with third parties

We share data only with service providers needed to run Quizforz:

• Payment gateways (Razorpay, PhonePe, Stripe) to process transactions.
• Google for Google Sign-In and, if you use the paper scan feature, the Gemini API for question extraction.
• Hosting and database providers that store our application data securely.

Each provider only receives the data required for its function, and we may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active. Financial transaction records may be retained longer where required by tax and payment regulations. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us via the Contact Us page — we will process the request within a reasonable time, except for records we are legally required to keep.

6. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, sessions use signed HttpOnly cookies, and access to production data is restricted. No system is 100% secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your login credentials private.

7. Children

Quizforz is an education platform and may be used by students. If you are under 18, please use the platform with the knowledge and consent of a parent, guardian or school. We do not knowingly collect more personal data from minors than is needed to provide the service.

8. Your rights

You can view and edit your profile from your account, and you can ask us to correct or delete your data via the Contact Us page. If you signed in with Google, you can also revoke Quizforz's access from your Google account settings.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the latest version, and significant changes will be announced on the platform.
